Registration

01

Online registration is required

...and is completed right here on the SBVolley website.

03

Please register early.

There is no fee to register online, and we don’t require club memberships - this keeps the series accessible and encourages new players to jump in. Registration also helps us plan divisions, pools, and scheduling.

05

No-show policy (important):

If a team registers and does not show up without notice (the evening before or earlier), they may be added to a no-show list and could be removed from future tournaments if a waitlist of dependable teams exists. We understand there may be special circumstances - those will be handled case-by-case.

02

No payment is collected online.

Teams will pay in person at check-in the morning of the tournament. We do this to keep costs down and to avoid the hassle of processing refunds if a team has a last-minute conflict.

04

If you can’t make it, please notify us.

A quick email or text the evening before (or earlier) is all it takes to withdraw.

06

Space is Limited

Another reason to sign up early!

Tournament Format / Setup

Open Divisions
  • Double elimination

  • Semi-finals and finals are match play

  • Other matches are played to 21 or 25, depending on number of teams and time constraints

  • Format decisions are at the Tournament Director’s discretion

  • Open divisions are currently capped at 16 teams to ensure the tournament finishes in one day (may change for special conditions)

All Other Divisions (AA, A, BB, B)
  • Divided into pool play, with top teams advancing

  • Number of teams advancing depends on number of teams and time constraints

  • The goal is to play as many quality games as possible within the time allowed

  • Finals bracket is normally single elimination, but may be match play if time allows
